A Philosophical Dialogue of Scholars and Students from Poland, Germany, Georgia, and Ukraine<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e7f1a3d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e7f1a3d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>As part of the project \u201cThe Rule of Law and the Right to Self-Determination as the Foundations of Political Order. A Philosophical Dialogue of Scholars and Students from Poland, Germany, Georgia, and Ukraine\u201d, implemented between March 1 and October 31, 2025, an international academic conference combined with a summer school titled \u201cThe Rule of Law and the Crisis of Democracy\u201d was organized in Georgia, in Zugdidi and Anaklia, on September 13\u201322, 2025. The conference and summer school served as a platform for philosophical and legal exchange among participants from Poland, Germany, Georgia, Ukraine, and the United States. The event combined academic presentations by recognized scholars with workshop-based learning for younger participants.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0f9a7a0 e-con-full elementor-hidden-mobile e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"0f9a7a0\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6195044 e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"6195044\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-16fab17 e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"16fab17\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4cad0d6 elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"4cad0d6\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-344017c elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"344017c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Conference<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a73bcc8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a73bcc8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The conference brought together around 80 participants from various academic institutions \u2014 researchers, doctoral candidates, and students. Papers were presented by scholars from:<\/p><p>\u2013 University of Warsaw (Poland),<\/p><p>\u2013 Humboldt University of Berlin (Germany),<\/p><p>\u2013 Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State University (Georgia),<\/p><p>\u2013 Georgian Technical University (Tbilisi, Georgia),<\/p><p>\u2013 Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Ukraine),<\/p><p>\u2013 Pennsylvania State University (USA).<\/p><p>The presentations addressed, among other topics, the Polish tradition of combining universal human rights with concern for sovereignty, German constitutionalism rooted in the philosophy of Kant and Hegel, the Georgian model of the rule of law in the context of European integration, and Ukraine\u2019s experience of defending the rule of law under wartime conditions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f07da4e e-con-full e-flex e-con e-child\" data-id=\"f07da4e\" data-element_type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6d1bf54 elementor-widget-divider--view-line elementor-widget elementor-widget-divider\" data-id=\"6d1bf54\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"divider.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-divider\">\n\t\t\t<span class=\"elementor-divider-separator\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-502ca39 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"502ca39\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Summer School<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-ab64643 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"ab64643\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>An integral part of the event was the summer school for students and doctoral candidates, organized in cooperation with Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State University. It involved 15 participants:<\/p><p>\u2013 7 students from Poland (University of Warsaw, Jagiellonian University),<\/p><p>\u2013 4 students from the USA (Pennsylvania State University),<\/p><p>\u2013 4 students from Georgia (Shota Meskhia Zugdidi State University, Georgian Technical University).<\/p><p>Participants attended lectures, workshops, and discussion sessions led by invited experts. They also worked in international teams on model solutions for implementing the principles of the rule of law in diverse political and cultural contexts. The results of their work were presented during the conference\u2019s closing session.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c70f7a0 formats of a conference and a summer school created a unique space in which young researchers could engage in debates with established scholars while developing their own research and teaching
